Waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has dedicated the month of May to celebrate its staff for their enormous contribution towards the growth of the company.
The month of May will every year be commemorated as “Employee appreciation month” where series of events will be organized to appreciate staff and bond top level managers with junior staff.
The Managing Director of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Mrs Gloria Opoku Anti led a team of management members to serve a special “Breakfast spread” and dished out delicacies such as waakye, rice, beans, Tom brown among other dishes to all staff to celebrate them.
Mrs Anti in a statement expressed the company’s appreciation to all staff for their efforts in growing the company.
“On behalf of the Executive Chairman, the COO of the Environment and Sanitation Cluster and the entire management of Zoomlion, I wish to say ayekoo to all the workers of Zoomlion for dedicating yourselves to grow the company”, she indicated
She pointed out that Zoomlion’s growth is as a result of the hard work of staff and the month has been set aside among other employee engagement activities to provide opportunities for person-to- person interaction to further boost staff and management relationship.
“I hope this offer this morning has made you more happy and brought unity amongst us” she added.
The Human Resource Manager of Zoomlion, Mr. Eric Osei Annor in an Interview outlined various programs such as “Employee Freestyle Day, Africa Union day” among other events scheduled to engage employees and enhance their warefare.
He said “these events among other warefare programs enhances employee motivation for improved productivity and we will continue to ensure that our employees are happy”
He added that the “Employee Month” is also commemorated in all regional and subsidiary companies of the Jospong group.
Some of the employees interviewed expressed their excitement to see top level management members dressed in Zoomlion customised aprons with inscriptions such as “Our Employees Our Heroes, A satisfied employee is a productive employee ” among others.
“Seeing my MD dishing out food to drivers, Janitors, mechanics and interact with them excites me alot and I think they appreciate what we do”.
Others remarked that “This kind of gesture should be encouraged so as to boost staff and management relationship”
