Zoomlion Ghana Limited embarks on “Adopt a Street Clean-up Campaign” to ensure sustainable waste management in our communities
The drive to promote environmental cleanliness and ensure that our communities are in order continues, as waste management expert Zoomlion Ghana Limited embarked on a clean-up project dubbed “Zoomlion Adopts a Street Clean-up Campaign.” The rationale behind this initiative is fostering community engagement in sanitation services and social responsibility, while promoting a clean and healthy environment.

According to Director of Monitoring and Service Quality of Zoomlion Ghana Ltd, Mr. Ernest Kusi, the initiative is also in support of Government’s agenda to ensure that citizens and corporate institutions partner with them to help keep our vicinities clean. He further explained that the model of this initiative will create a platform for Schools, Alumni, local authorities and corporate institutions to collaborate and make a lasting impact on their communities. Adding that, institutions requiring clean-up equipment or basic logistics to embark on sanitation initiatives can make a request from the Company’s office and they will rightly be supported. The Clean-up took place from Ashaley Botwe School Junction to Borteyman Stadium Road.

The exercise witnessed a team of Zoomlion workers, equipped with cleaning items and waste disposal bags, squarely cleaning up the stretch: from clearing debris to cleaning gutters, de-sanding, weeding and general street cleaning. The company also engaged with local residents, educating them on the importance of proper waste disposal and the benefits of a clean environment.

Zoomlion Ghana limited is committed to continue its clean-up initiatives and engage with communities and institutions to promote a cleaner, greener and healthier environment.
