Zoomlion Ghana Limited has signed a Waste Management and Processing Concession Agreement with Lagos, Nigeria, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, solidifying its commitment to sustainable waste management and environmental conservation.

The beneficiaries of the Executive Chairman’s gesture include Imam Abdul Karim Suleiman, Chief Imam and Operations Assistant-Greater Accra, Zaharia Ibrahim, Deputy Chief Imam, and District Manager for Upper West, Bobtoya Barikisu, Stores Officer from Upper West, and Mohammed Gyan, Operations Assistant at Bono East. These employees, who have dedicated many years to Zoomlion Ghana Limited, thanked Allah for this opportunity and offered prayers for the long life of the Executive Chairman as well as the continued success of the Jospong Group of Companies.

In a joint effort, Zoomlion Ghana Limited partnered with the National Hajj Committee to conduct a thorough clean-up initiative at the Hajj village located in Accra. This initiative, which occurred from May 17th to May 29th, was designed to establish a welcoming environment for pilgrims before their departure.

As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our environment clean and sustainable, Zoomlion’s “Adopt a Street Clean Up” initiative has been making significant progress along the stretch from Ashaley Botwe to Borteyman Stadium Road. Our specialised road sweeper machine is undertaking thorough sweeping exercise ensuring the street remains constantly clean and free of debris.

On Friday, November 22, 2024, in Accra, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed
between the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC) and the government of Uasin Gishu County in
Eldoret, Kenya to enhance sanitation services.

The Jospong Group, through its subsidiary Zoomlion Nigeria Limited, has signed an export agreement with Germany’s FIMA Industries GmbH and Faun Umwelttechnik GmbH.

The Jospong Group of Companies (JGC) has launched the Jospong-Komptech Waste Academy project to train over 600 staff of Zoomlion and other public officials on integrated solid waste management.
