GHANAIANS URGED TO SET UP LOCAL BUSINESSES TO BOOST ECONOMY


The Executive Chairman of Jospong/Zoomlion Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong has urged Ghanaians to venture into local businesses to help boost the Ghanaian economy.
He explains that current economic indicators specifically the depreciation of the Cedi against major trading currencies makes it increasingly difficult for international trading.
Speaking at the Second Bezalel Conference organized by the Men’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost Ghana, he encouraged enterprising Ghanaians to rise above past failures and venture into new fields of business.                         
The Bezalel Conference is an annual event held by the Men’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost to create a platform for members to interact, share experiences and ideas as well as connect on avenues to improve their businesses as well as strengthen their spiritual lives.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Man-Gods Steward in Business” which was taken from Luke 19:13 in the Holy Bible.
Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong who is an elder of the church of Pentecost called for a change in mindset and attitude of Ghanaians towards exposure to business opportunities.
He encouraged participants to establish associations that promote networking and business growth.
“Go into partnerships to ensure sustainability of your business, create a brand and be proud of your brand as this will help secure future prospects” he stated.
He said children of God were not created beggars entreating the church to stop begging but position themselves to identify opportunities and exploit.
The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah in a speech read on his behalf noted that corruption, laziness and other negative business practices continue to reverse the progress of the nation and for that matter members must desist from such practices..
Dr. Opoku Onyinah admonished participants at the congress to take advantage and tap into the knowledge and expertise of the various speakers and exhibit strength and courage to confront the moral decadence that has engulfed the nation.
The Director of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) Apostle J.F. Asante Ayeh noted that God has placed in every individual, some ability to achieve something in a unique way.
“Our purpose for assembling participants is to bring the best we have in the Kingdom of God to share their success stories, rich experiences and guide us in a way we can become better equipped for holistic ministry in the spirit, society, family and of course in our own bodies” He announced.  
Other speakers scheduled for the four day conference include Dr. Joyce Aryee, Prof Frimpong Boateng Elder Emmanual Boate, Nana k.Gyasi and a host of others.
The Conference is being held at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa Fetteh between the 20th and 24th April 2015.
